Technology

To create my product I used many different forms of technology. One of these being Google, this was used to research pre exiting magazines for inspiration and identifying the conventions. The advantage of being able to research magazines on google as it meant it was not essential for me to purchase the magazines in store. This was a cheep and more effective way of carrying out my market research. Secondly, I used Servery Monkey to gather research and work out who my target audience were so I could produce a product most suitable for them. Servey Monkey was very helpful for my course work as it allowed me to electronically send out my surveys without having to gather the information and results, in addition the results were organised enabling me to identify the overall outcome of each question easily. This is due to them being teenagers and not have a stable income where they can afford to spend £4-5 on a magazine. Secondly, by including artists names in the cover features that relate to my target audiences preferences. An example of this would be give a ways,on the front cover I have included the opportunity to win a Reading and Leeds ticket. In addition to this feature being a give away I have created it taking in consideration of my target audiences music taste. By offering this festival the typical genre of music played is similar to the audiences favourite artists, making the magazine appeal to them more so than another music magazine.
